How my journey began

Hi!

As an avid tea-drinker, it feels appropriate that this happens over a cup of tea.

Maybe you have one too. Maybe a mug of coffee. Maybe a glass of wine… or a shot of whiskey. (If so, why are you reading this at a bar? No shade. Honest question.)

Family

I am a Black British-American dual citizen with ancestry from the English, French, and Spanish-speaking Caribbean, who grew up between London and New York.

For five generations, the children have been born in a different country than the parents.

In my family, women never saw a body of water they didn’t want to cross!

Live and Travel

Meanwhile, my knack for languages has allowed me to live in and travel continents. I speak English, Dutch, French, Swahili… and am known to dabble in a few others.

I have lived in London multiple times and lived in Belgium for seven years. I have spent time in Mexico, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Ghana, Nepal, Japan, France, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey.

There was one year when I was on 50 planes. I counted. Phew!

Stuff I do…

I have a College Scholar degree from Cornell University in Mathematics, Linguistics and English Literature and have had half a dozen careers from theater to healer to law to software.

I have had the strange honor… or audacity… to try whatever interests me.
